Dianne C. Brown:  Founder and Director

As Art Factory director art consultant Dianne C. Brown contributes extensive marketing, sales and business experience combined with knowledge of the contemporary art scene.

An American living in Budapest, Mrs. Brown has worked in the Hungarian art community for nearly 14 years. After moving to Budapest from New York in 1993 she became founder and first president of the Friends of the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts.  There she established the Painting Restoration Project which enrolls corporate sponsors to pay for much-needed restoration of the Museum’s Old Masters’ works.

In 2001 Mrs. Brown established an art consultancy providing commercial and private art services.  She was art consultant for the new Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, winner of the 2004 European Hotel Design Award.


Mrs. Brown has appeared in Forbes, Departures, Four Seasons Magazine, Travel & Leisure, Incentives and the Toronto Globe and Mail. She has placed Hungarian art in private collections in New York City, Chicago, Boston, Beverly Hills, Miami Beach, Dallas and Aspen, as well as Rome, Milan, London, Berlin, Zurich and Geneva.  She has a B.A. in Arts Management from Skidmore University, New York.




Délia Vékony:  Curator


Curator Délia Vékony oversees a rigorous exhibition schedule in our four venues, as well as initiating exhibitions for our artists in galleries, institutions and museums abroad.  Ms. Vékony has a B.A. in Art History from the University of South Africa and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Contemporary Art Theory.

Délia Vékony has made a name for herself as one of Hungary’s most promising young curators. Before joining the Art Factory team, Ms. Vékony curated exhibitions for several local galleries and institutions, including the Almássy Tér Cultural Center.  Ms. Vékony is also an art history lecturer at the Oxford-Brookes International Business School in Budapest.




Virag Major:  Assistant
Manager

Virág Major is the Art Factory's multi-tasking assistant manager handling everything from exhibition openings to PR, graphics, printing and website administration.  She has a degree in Arts Management from Moholy-Nagy University of Arts and Design, as well as an M.A. from Corvinus University, Budapest.
